Given we’ve had a staycation these summer school holidays, we decided an impromptu day trip to St Kilda was in order this past weekend. It’s not in the north-east but it definitely still is the star of the southern suburbs. There’s something about being by the water, palm trees and beautiful Art Deco buildings from another time, which make you feel like you’re on holiday (plus the fact that a lot of international tourists are there).
